THE ARTIST
A seasoned musician, Dan Scram has made his name around Winnipeg Manitoba over the last decade. Dan grew up in a musical family with his mother singing gospel and grandfather Mel Bedard playing (Red River style) fiddle music. By 10, Dan took up the drums. Guitar, bass, piano and singing followed shortly thereafter which led to him heading up bands like The Deeds, and to producing an engineering his own music.
Raw and emotional, Dan lays it all out in his music, which has been compared to Jeff Buckley, Allman Brothers, and Prince among others. Inspired by everything around him, you may catch notes of radiator or other household items lending themselves percussively on many of the recordings.
Most recently, Dan’s song “Lay Your Love”- which he wrote and produced in his home studio – was featured in the show Little Bird, airing on Crave and PBS platforms.
